Editing Faculty webpages

Using a bibtex file

It is possible to use a *.bib file to generate list of publications. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Create a biblliography file just as you would for a latex paper. Here is an example file.
  • Edit your page, and add the following statement where you want the publication list to appear:
{{bibtex>.:yazici:index.bib bibtexEntryType="!/(phdthesis|mastersthesis)/" }}

The code above results in:

  1. Yukselturk, E., Yazıcı, A., Kaya, O., & Sacan, A. (2010). Online Education Experiences: Information Technologies Certificate Program at METU. ACM Annual Conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE 2010). [bib]
  • The bibtex plugin allows advanced features like filtering or sorting the bibtex entries by name, year, publication type, etc. If interested in these advanced features, check out about bibtex plugin.

Listing PhD/MSc Students

  • We recommend using bibtex files to list your PhD and MSc thesis supervised. e.g.:
{{bibtex>.:yazici:index.bib bibtexEntryType=phdthesis}}
  1. Yıldırım, Y. ((2009). Automatic Semantic Content Extraction in Videos Using a Spatio-Temporal Ontology Model.). PhD Thesis , Middle East Technical University, Turkey. [bib]
